HUD short for Head Up Display. It displays driving datas on the front windshield such as speed, RPM, water temperature, voltage etc on the car front window glass; avoiding drivers unsafety because of watching the instrument while driving. Drivers can read the driving information instantly, and can always keep the best state on the way with HUD

Keys functions

Setting/Wave button functions:When the setting button in the right(Pull up/Pull down/Press in)

 

1.Short pull up

(1) switch the multi functions area 1: battery voltage/ fuel consumption

(2)after entering into the setting menu, to add the default value

 

2.Short pull down

(1) switch the multi functions area 2:water temperature/single driving distance/single driving time/Clock/100 km acceleration time/Engine Speed

(2) after entering into the setting menu, to decrease the default value

 

3. Short press in

(1)switch the display mode

(2) after entering into the setting menu, to add the menu

 

4.Long pull down : turn off/on the buzzer

 

5.Long pull up: all lights will be on, to eliminate the fault code, do it again to save and exit

 

6. Long press in

(1) to enter into the setting menu

(2) when finish the adjustment, long press in the button to save and exit

 

Factory reset

When the HUD turns off, long press-in the wave button and at the same time turn on the HUD, all the lights will be on, and then release the button, that’s factory reset.

Or find menu 16, adjust the default from 0 to 1, 1 means finish the factory reset, then long press in 5s to save and exit.

 

Clear the fault code

When HUD is power on, long pull up the button for 5 seconds, then all the lights will be on, it means finished, do it again to save and exit

 

Turn off/on the buzzer

Pull down the setting button for 5 seconds, to turn off the buzzer, do it again to turn on the buzzer

 

HUD setting

Vertical long press in the setting button for 5s to enter the menu setting, vertical short press to increase the menu option, up and down the setting button to increase or decrease the parameter default value. After adjustment, vertical long press 5 seconds to save and exit.

Tips:If the car will not use in a week,please disconnect the OBD equipment.

Troubleshooting

1.The screen without any display, and no power

Start the car engine; check if the OBD cable line is tight; please pull down the OBD cables more times to ensure; check if HUD power switch turns on. If still no display, please change another car to test, analyze whether the car OBD diagnostic interface is good, if it is not good, please repair it and try again.

 

2.When HUD power on, HUD only shows the car voltage and be automatic power off after a few seconds driving.

HUD only available for cars with OBD2 and EU-OBD agreement(European region: after 2003 years, Other region: after 2007 years）

HUD Products don’t support JOBD and OBDI protocol.

 

3.The machine is stuck or stuck during driving

(1)Please check the OBD interface if connected withe other device(One point and two lines,positioner, tire pressure monitoring, drop lock window folding, ELM27 etc)

(2)Modified and retrofitted cars (Central Control Navigation, Electronic Throttle Accelerator ,Fixed Speed Cruise, Computer System has been brushed,One-button start, keyless entry, remote start) will cause a crash

Please remove other OBD devices and do the factory reset.

 

4.Inaccurate Speed

(1)First check the speed unit is correct or not, the speed unit including KM/H and MPH

 

(2)When HUD is power on, vertical press the setting button for 5 seconds to enter into the menu 1 and the parameter shows 107,up or down the setting button to increase or decrease the value according to the difference until it shows correct one. After adjustment, vertical press in 5 seconds to save it.(Example:If the dashboard shows 100,and HUD shows 103,then change the HUD default value from 107 to 104)

 

5.Inaccurate fuel consumption

 

The unit for fuel consumption is L/100KM, HUD display is the single driving fuel consumption, while car display is Integrated average driving fuel consumption, so it is normal if there are difference.

 

HUD display three kinds of fuel consumption

 

a. Idle mode: HUD display Instantaneous fuel consumption per hour (L/H), it means HUD can figure out how much oil the car will consumed after start engine in one hour

b. Driving mode: HUD display Instantaneous fuel consumption of 100KM

c. Finish driving: HUD display is average fuel consumption of 100KM, when turn off the car, HUD will auto turn off in 10s

 

6.Clock calibration(The HUD cannot remember the time because it does not contain the battery. It needs to reset the clock after power off.)

When HUD is power on,long press in for 5 seconds to enter the setting menu,short press in the button set to menu 15, Pull up to adjust the hour,Pull down to adjust the minute ,once finished,long press in the button fro 5 seconds to save and exit.

 

7.Stop-star cars

Vertical press in 5 seconds to enter into menu setting, short press 14 times to menu 14, the default parameter is 20, up or down change it to 180, then power off time will be 3 minutes,then vertical press in 5 seconds to save and exit,HUD will power off in 3 mins.

 

8. HUD cannot automatically turns off (RPM and Speed are not off set)

Vertical press in 5 seconds to enter into menu setting, short press 13 times to menu 13, the default parameter is 0, up or down change it to 13.2V or higher, vertical press in 5 seconds to save and exit.

OBD2 scope of application: OBD2 protocol gasoline vehicle produced by the US Department after 2004, OBD2 agreement gasoline vehicle produced in other regions after 2008

The OBD2 HUD is not applicable to the following common models:

▲ OBD2 models can not be used in the US: for D/odge, for J/EEP, for S/ail, for C/hrysler, models produced before 2004 and 2004

▲ OBD2 all legal systems, Italian models can not be used: such as: for F/iat, for M/aserati, for L/amborghini, for D/S, for P/EUGEOT, for C/itroen, for R/enault, for S/imka, for A/mirka and so on.

▲ OBD2 Japanese models can not be used: for S/uzuki, for M/azda 6, Infiniti (QX50 q50 q501), for T/oyota avanza in 2013, for L/exus (is250, ex250, ES300H) for H/onda (jazz, CRV) and cars produced before 2008.

▲ South Korea’s for K/ia and modern models can’t use OBD models (2013 for H/yundai Sonata, 2017 for K/ia Soul PS, etc.)

Hybrids with diesel and electric vehicles, pickup trucks, RVs, modified car computers, and HUD are not used. GPS models are recommended.
